Chemical Applications NPTC qualified to apply commercial pesticide products for disease, weeds, moss and pest control as listed below; Moss This is a plant which lives off moisture on top of the soil. It can be treated by applying a chemical and then scarifying out. Having moss present in your lawn is a result of poor maintenance which may include: (1) shaded areas; (2) compaction; (3) scalping when mowing; (4) lack of fertiliser; (5) water logging; (6) lawn not cut regularly. Weeds A selective weed killer should be applied twice a year to keep weeds under control. Some weed species may require a further application. The presence of weeds will weaken your lawn because of competing for sunlight, moisture and nutrients. I use top quality commercial selective weed killer in order to achieve a professional result. Turf Diseases There are a wide range of turf diseases, some of the most common ones being red thread, fusarium and various types of fairy rings. Turf Pests There are a wide range of turf pests, some of the most common ones being leather jackets, worms, chafer grubs and fruit fly.
